We hear that you are the Queen of Folklore; we are here to hear every single detail!

I am passionate about my culture and tradition and wants to preserve what is left of our unique folklore and tradition through music. So I  blend cultural music with modern day contemporary music in a way that both the young and old can relate to and that has never happened in Sierra Leone. I am the first to do that.

Your work revolves around feminism and human rights, what does feminism mean to you?

To me it means be able to own my voice, body, actions and decisions without no discrimination or bearers. It’s about having a level playground for women in Sierra Leone and the world as a whole.

Do you think your mindset has anything to with the direction of your life?

Yes it does, my mindset is the driver of the vehicle which is my life.

Name three people in your industry that inspire you and why?

Amie Kallon, Late Janka Nabay(RIP) & Steady Bongo because  their love for Sierra Leonean cultural music and the consistency of their work is overwhelming.

What are you most curious about in life?

Tomorrow and what it will bring….

What do you think is the main problem that derails African entertainers?

It’s a few things: originality, consistency and poor marketing.

What is the most courageous thing that you have done in your life?

Share my  rape stories in a series.
